Richland County deputies investigate after teen shot on Saturday

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. — Richland County deputies are investigating a shooting that occurred on Saturday afternoon.

According to the Richland County Sheriff's Department, the shooting happened in the 800 block of Setter Lane around 5:15 p.m. Maps show the road in a neighborhood area off Starling Goodson Road.

Deputies arrived and spoke with incidents at the location, where they learned a juvenile teen had been shot.

Authorities said the shooting victim was taken to an area hospital with unspecified injuries. The sheriff's department asked anyone with information about the shooting to come forward. Tipsters can submit information anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-888-CRIMESC or CrimeSC.com.

The sheriff's department said the shooting is still under investigation, and more details would be released as they become available.
