State troopers arrested one suspect in the Aiken County area. The other was arrested in Lee County.

LEE COUNTY, S.C. — Two men have been arrested and charged in a Wednesday night shooting at a Lee County convenience store.

The Lee County Sheriff's Office said the shooting happened on Wednesday at 2575 Sumter Highway - Sambo's Grocery. Sheriff Daniel Simon said the first deputies found the victim lying inside the store on the floor with a single gunshot wound to the neck. He was taken to an area hospital for treatment and was in critical condition, the sheriff said, crediting the quick action of Lee County Emergency Medical Services for working to get him to an area hospital.

The sheriff's office said deputies, the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division's Fugitive Task Force and troopers from the South Carolina Highway Patrol worked together to find the suspects in the case. A traffic stop by troopers assigned to Aiken County led to the arrest of 21-year-old Drayquan Tyquise Shaw, who faces charges of attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime. Lee County officials said 29-year-old Dequa Teier Davis was arrested in Lee County and charged with accessory after the fact of a felony.

The sheriff's office said both were taken to the Sumter County Detention Center, awaiting a bond hearing. Sheriff Simon said investigators haven't determined a motive for the shooting.

Anyone with information on the case is urged to call the Lee County Sheriff's Office at 803-484-5353.
