Cayce, SC (WLTX) - SCE&G is offering an incentive program for people to get rid of their old refrigerators and freezers.
The utility is offering $50 cash back and free pickup of up to two fridges or freezers in working condition between 10 and 30 cubic feet.
“In addition to receiving $50 per appliance and a free pickup, SCE&G customers could see up to $150 in energy savings annually,” said Therese Griffin, manager of SCE&G’s demand side management and energy efficiency programs. “It also helps protect the environment by making sure old appliances are recycled in an environmentally friendly way.”
