ORANGEBURG, S.C. — New security measures were put in place at South Carolina State University in March 2019.
The changes to some of the university's policies come after several recent shootings in the Orangeburg area.
Under the new security rules, every student, staff member or visitor on campus must present an ID before entering the university.
SC State has also increased video surveillance on the premise.
