Clemson looks to turn things around in Memphis

The Tigers come into the NCAA Tournament having dropped three of their last four games.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — When Clemson faces New Mexico in the first round of the NCAA Tournament, it will have been nine days since the Tigers last played a game.

Their lackuster 21-point loss to Boston College in the ACC Tournament was their third loss in the last four games. After some pointed comments from head coach Brad Brownell and some time off to rest up and reset, the Tigers enter Friday's contest ready to show that the team that was so dominant in November and December is still capable of playing at a high level.

Clemson's non-conference success and a huge win at North Carolina were the highlights for the NCAA Tournament resume. Unlike last year, the Tigers were expected to be selected for the Tournament and now, they look to avoid what happaned to Virginia and show that they do indeed belong in the field of 68.
