COLUMBIA, S.C. — It's not everyday you land a transfer from a program which made it to the Final Four but that is what Lamont Paris has done with the Saturday evening commitment from Nick Pringle.

The well-travelled Pringle starred at Whale Branch High School in Seabrook where helped that program win a state championship.

The 6-10 Pringle began his college career at Wofford before transferring to Dodge City Community College. Pringle would spend the last two seasons at Alabama. This past season, the Crimson Tide made it to the Final Four for the first time in program history and Pringle would be a solid contributor in that effort.

He averaged 6.8 points, 5.1 rebounds, 0.7 assists and 0.7 blocks per game for the season. Against Clemson in the Elite Eight, Pringle scored 16 points and grabbed 11 rebounds.

This follows two other Palmetto State natives who are coming into the USC program. Lexington's Cam Scott signed with the Gamecocks and then Paris landed 7-0 Jordan Butler, a Greenville native who is transferring from Missouri.
