WATCH: Inside Look at USC's New Football Operations Center

USC's new $50 mil. football operations center is just months away from completion. News 19 takes you inside.

Columbia, SC (WLTX) — The University of South Carolina's new $50 million football operations center is scheduled to be completed late December.

News 19 had a sneak peak inside the 110,000 square-foot facility, which will house new strength training and cardio areas, a movie room, and even a barber shop.

"We have a few bells and whistles, but, as coach [Will] Muschamp said earlier, this is a place of work," USC Athletic Director Ray Tanner said. "A facility that shows you're committed to the game and recruits and their families are going to be able ot see that."

The building process started in March of 2017, but major progress has been made since then.

The building features a 20,000 square foot, two-story high weight room, which will have custom weight racks and a variety of strength training equipment.

From the weight room, players will have direct access to outdoor practice fields. There is also a hydrotherapy pool room, dining area, and plenty of meeting space for coaches and players.

The lobby will include a display of George Roger's 1980 Heisman Trophy and displays for the team's bowl trophies. Several interactive screens will also be placed throughout the lobby documenting the history of the program from memorable moments to Gamecock greats.

Staff and team members should get to move inside early next year.
