I-20 exit ramp to temporarily close on I-26 in Lexington County

The closure and detour will be installed on Wednesday evening, September 9, 2020, and again Thursday evening, September 10, 2020.

LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. — The ramp on I-26 East at Exit 107B will be temporarily closed on Wednesday and Thursday evening, according to The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT).

The temporary closure will close the ramp on I-26 East at Exit 107B, which provides access to I-20 East towards Florence. SCDOT will provide a signed detour. 

The closure and detour will be installed on Wednesday evening, September 9, 2020, and again Thursday evening, September 10, 2020. They will be installed each evening from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m.

The closure will hep with pavement preservation currently being completed on I-20, according to SCDOT. 

Drivers traveling through the work zone are asked to be aware of equipment and crews working adjacent to traffic at all times. "Let 'em Work. Let 'em Live."

Motorists can use SCDOT's 511 Traveler system for updates to help make travel decisions.

During these hours, anyone traveling on I-26 East will utilize a signed detour to access I-20 East. The detour will continue on I-26 East to Exit 108A (Bush River Road), and will turn left at the stoplight onto Bush River Road. By staying in the far right lane on Bush River Road, motorists will then be able to merge onto the ramp to I-26 West.  From there, motorists will be able to use the ramp on I-26 West at Exit 107B to access I-20 East towards Florence.
