One dead, multiple hospitalized in Two Notch Road crash on Saturday afternoon

Authorities said the crash happened on Two Notch Road at O'Neil Court.

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. — Authorities say one person is dead, and three were hurt in a Saturday afternoon crash north of Columbia.

Lance Corporal Nick Pye with the South Carolina Highway Patrol said the crash happened around 6:25 p.m. at Two Notch Road and O'Neil Court in the Dentsville area.

Investigators said a 2015 Cadillac sedan was heading north on Two Notch Road, a 2022 Kia Sedan was stopped facing west on O'Neil Court, and a 2011 Audi sedan was heading east on O'Neil Court. Pye said the preliminary investigation suggests that the Cadillac and Audi sedans collided, causing the Audi to hit the Kia.

The drivers of all three vehicles and a front-seat passenger of the Audi were taken to the hospital for treatment. The passenger later died.

The Richland County Coroner's Office hasn't yet released the name of the deceased victim. The South Carolina Highway Patrol is still investigating the crash.
