Portions of Riverwalk closed due to rising water

West Columbia will announce when paths are back open to the public

WEST COLUMBIA, S.C. — The City of West Columbia has closed a portion of the West Columbia Riverwalk due to rising waters.

The section of the Riverwalk, from the Moffat Street entrance, off Sunset Blvd., to the Gervais Street Bridge are temporarily closed.

Once the water subsides and the Riverwalk path is clear, the city will announce when all areas of the West Columbia Riverwalk Park are open to the public.
