Deputies: Richland County student found with stolen gun on campus

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. — Richland County deputies say a Midlands high school student was found with a stolen gun on campus on Tuesday.

Deputies say a 16-year-old student at Lower Richland High School was found to have an unloaded handgun after an anonymous tip was made to the school resource officer. The handgun was reported stolen out of Richland County. 

The juvenile is charged with possession of a stolen weapon and possession of a weapon on school grounds.
