Richland County Coroner identifies woman killed at Columbia club shooting that also left two men hospitalized

Authorities responded to a fight involving a weapon and found the fight over with three victims taken to a hospital.

COLUMBIA, S.C. — Deputies say a woman is dead and two men are in the hospital after a deadly shooting at a Columbia area club on Sunday morning.

The Richland County Sheriff's Department said deputies were called to Vegas Knights, 3722 River Drive, Sunday morning to a fight involving a weapon. Arriving deputies found the fight had ended and three people had been taken to the hospital. Investigators later learned that the woman who was shot in the upper body and died, and two men were also shot - one in the upper body and another in the lower body. 

Richland County Coroner Naida Rutherford identified the female victim as 24-year-old Destiny Jones, of Columbia.

Deputies didn't have any additional information about the conditions of the surviving men.

The sheriff's department said it would release additional information as it becomes available and urged anyone with tips about the shooting to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC or CrimeSC.com.
