LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. — South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) has closed a road in Lexington County to all but local traffic. Misty Lane is a state maintained road in Gilbert that crosses over a private dam near Lake Murray.
As of Wednesday, April 24, 2024, Misty Lane will be closed. while SCDOT works with SC Department of Health and Environmental Control (SCDHEC) and the owner of a private dam to plan for repairs to the dam and restoration of the road.
There is no time frame as to how long the road will be closed or when the repairs will be made.
